Reflections for 2008: The Year of Sabbath

It's that time of the year again when people make New Year's resolutions. Haha and everyone says that they will never complete theirs. I didn't make any last year but I did set out some personal goals in line with FC's theme (Year of Sabbath):

Intimacy
1) Spend time with God (consistent QT everyday) - been half successful but I'm still working on it, not gonna give up so easily.
2) Bible study every Saturday X - wanted to study the book of Isaiah but never seemed to wake up early enough to do it.
3) Change of lifestyle (sleep early ✓ - been sleeping early ever since I started work, exercise 3 times a week X) - must start exercising soon, hate the feeling of being stagnant.
4) Read Christian literature ✓ - Thank God I love reading. Read quite a few this year.
5) Monthly solitude (completed 9 out of 12 months) ✓

Interdependence
1) Spiritual family (cg/band)  ✓
Joanna - got to know her better through NUS prayer meetings and our buddy system
Huiting - got to know her better through more sharing of our lives and one movie outing
band - got to know everyone a little better this year
2) Biological family
Elder sis - got to talk to her more with more freedom, unlike last time.
Mom - been praying with her for the family more often, feel closer to her than before
Extended family - got to know my uncles better during the funeral but I need to actively create opportunities for this family to get together, especially this year.

Integration
1) Career - discovered God's will and direction for my life as He blessed me with this job ✓ (A resounding "PRAISE GOD"!!!)
2) Band - God gave us a name: "AudOne"!  ✓
3) G12 band - put on hold
4) Pick up guitar - stuck with chords A, G, D and I still don't know how to strum
5) Improve vox - started lessons in July ✓
6) Set up online jewelry shop - God gave me the name but the website is still in the works.
7) Serve more in ministry - Started serving in Gkidz late 2008 ✓

Thank God for what He has done in my life. For all the blessings, all the favors, all the bad times and good times. Especially the bad times, because that was when I grew closer to Him.

Thanksgivings to God in 2008 for:
1) A deeper conviction of Christ's love for me during Encounter Weekend, bringing about a greater commitment to my walk with Him.
2) Giving me strength and holding my family together when my grandma passed away.
3) Pointing out His direction for my career and how He tested and brought my faith in Him to another level as I trusted in Him for where He was bringing me to - I believe He's going to use me as a marketplace minister - I don't want to be another ordinary person, working just to earn a livelihood - I believe He put me here as part of His plan for His kingdom. It's not an occupation, but a mission.

4) Learning to rest the way God meant rest to be. It had not been easy learning how to rest this year. Got myself burnt not wanting to go His way, and learning that His way is still the best.

5) Tearing down something that I've been holding onto for 1 year and 3 months. 15 months. And now I can finally put it down. I can finally move on. I'm no longer tied down. I can finally do what God wants me to with freedom. With no hesitation and renewed commitment to Him.

I've come to realize that right now there is nothing that I want to do more than to live my life every day for Him, to be a vessel that will touch the lives of many children who need Him, both at work and in ministry. How could I waste a single moment not doing something that's pleasing to Him? How could I waste a minute thinking about things that are not gonna contribute to His kingdom? How I wish that the day my heart can have no more space other than for God and His people would come soon! Nothing else but Him and His people. And it's really super exciting (I know I've been repeating this word ever since like dunno when)!! 'Cos I believe that God is gonna use me in many areas and many ways, in my family, in church, at work and with friends (so many events coming up! I can't wait la!). Gonna sit down to plan for 2009. God, I look forward to where You are going to bring me to this year. I believe it's gonna be an even more adventurous year.

Your sovereignty

I was just looking through my gmail inbox, at all the correspondences I received these past two months. Who woulda thought in such a bad time one could even find a decent job, let alone receive 3 job offers, especially with grades like mine? It all comes back to one thing: God.

For a moment in time, I let my pride go to my head. For a second, I thought it was my own strength, I thought it was my abilities. I thought I did better than all the other candidates, "scoring" better comments from the supervisors. It's so easy to just get caught up in thinking that it was by my own strength.

Truth is, it was God's favor that poured down. Everything came from God. Everything comes from God.
(Okay, this is gonna be quite funny, but nevertheless, it doesn't, for a second, lessen the extent of what God did.)

1) A stomachache 45 mins before the selection round that gave me the runs. I had to find a toilet in a shopping mall nearby in the midst of traveling. Because of the stomachache, I reached the place just on time. And I was the last person to reach. Which meant that I was the last person for every task we did with the kid. Which meant I could observe everyone's mistakes and learn from them. (i.e. extract all essence and give the best that I could)

2) My intelligence, my abilities and my passions in life. All comes from God. Psalm 139 says that I am fearfully and wonderfully made by God Himself.

About abilities:
"Many studies have revealed that the average person possesses from 500 to 700 different skills and abilities - far more than you realize. For instance, your brain can store 100 trillion facts. Your mind can handle 15,000 decisions a second, as is the case when your digestive system is working. Your nose can smell up to 10,000 different odors. Your touch can detect an item 1/25,000th of an inch thick, and your tongue can taste one part of quinine in 2 million parts of water. You are a bundle of incredible abilities, an amazing creation of God... Every ability can be used for God's glory." (taken from "The Purpose-Driven Life")

Yes, it is my abilities. We should not deny that. In fact, we should celebrate. But UNTO GOD'S GLORY. Because He's the one who gave it all to us. He created us with such amazing abilities for life. For His work. For His kingdom. We should not be ashamed of the abilities we have, neither do we have to act modestly. We should be so thankful for what He has woven us with, that we no longer care about comparing our abilities, but celebrate one another's uniqueness, because we all have different strengths and weaknesses, that serve to complement one another.

About passions:
"God has given each of us a unique emotional "heartbeat" that races when we think about the subjects, activities, or circumstances that interest us. We instinctively care about some things and not about others. These are clues to where you should be serving. Another word for heart is passion. There are certain subjects you feel passionate about and others you couldn't care less about... When you were growing up, you may have discovered that you were intensely interested in some subjects that no one else in your family cared about. Where did those interests come from? They came from God. God had a purpose in giving you these inborn interests... Don't ignore your interests. Consider how they might be used for God's glory." (taken from "The Purpose-Driven Life")

3) Boldness to ask questions, boldness to speak up in front of people whom I don't know - Just felt God's strength and encouragement to do so especially that day. Even though I'm not an introvert, I don't exactly like public-speaking. But I just felt the need to speak up quite many times that day and I wasn't scared to do so. Why? Hahah God lor. I am a lion mah. My name speaks for itself (RAWRRRRR).

4) Favor with supervisors - If you follow the Holy Spirit's prompting in your heart, and with everything falling into place because of what God has done, wouldn't His favor just pour forth?

5) A natural inclination of just wanting to play with kids (hahahaha). I told ya I'm a kid who never got tired of playing. Hahaha. And most probably cos God put me in a family of 5 kids.

When God wants to use you for His kingdom, and when He sees your willingness and availability, it doesn't matter whether you have the abilities required (because God already gave them to you, and even if you don't have them, you will be equipped for it). All He wants is your heart and your dedication. And you'll finally find that all the fear you had about your academic achievements (or the lack of) and capability is needless. The extent of His grace and full sovereignty over your life just sinks in. Everything you face in life is in His full control for He has provided and will provide everything you need for the battle. Most of all, He will never let you go through what you cannot endure.

Thank You, God.

playing with kids - my soon-to-be career?

gosh. i haven't been in here since last Sunday. updates overdue!

went for the selection round (aka second interview with a twist) at the company yesterday. was quite nervous at first because I didn't know who I would be dealing with (if it was gonna be a violent kid). but who knew! it was a cute little boy!!! *grinz*

the entire 4 hours there was quite fun actually. all the candidates took turns interacting with the kid, engaging him with toys. we were also assigned a specific task in the end. it was more complicated than mere play (but for confidentiality purposes, i cannot give the details here). it wasn't easy cos we had to take turns playing with the kid in front of everyone (we had to "sell" the toy to Z (the little boy), to make interesting sounds and make the kid smile) and at the same time, we were on the end of receiving criticism from the supervisors.

BUT,

everything turned out well. really wanna thank God for His favor upon me, with the supervisors and the kid, especially. i was able to get the kid's interest each and every time. but it wasn't easy cos you had to think on your feet most of the time. but thank God for just even pouring new ideas into my head as I picked out the toys that had multiple qualities, and also for this natural ability to just interact with kids and be comfortable with them. i realized that this job really requires me to think quickly, to manage stress well, and to be creative, for instance, to play a toy in ways other than its original function. hahaha. i'm a kid who never grew up, and never got tired of playing (if you knew me well enough, i only stopped playing with Barbies in jc).  and gosh. Z is super cute!!!!! only 2 years old!! it's super hard not to like him la!

i think i made a strong and positive impression on both supervisors. received many positive comments, consistently in all the tasks that we were instructed to do.

haha will know if i'm gonna be selected by Monday. already submitted everything into God's hands. if He wills it to be, then it'll be. if not, haha i know He has another door for me. =)

musicality?

hello world!!
haha went back to NUS yesterday night for the 715 prayer walk. God has opened up more of my eyes to what He's doing in this land! Very glad that I did go back. Was my first time prayer-walking with my own cg leader and pastor. Learnt quite a bit apart from what I already knew before. Spiritual mapping is so coool. God, You're amazing. Your love for Your people is displayed all over this land. Praise to Your name!

And yay yay! I'm so glad that I'm gonna co-lead with Sarah in Gkidz! (*big silly grin*)

Today's vox lesson was funnnn!! I felt like I was running up a hill while we were building up to the high notes! There was no time to breathe but so exhilarating! Created a lot of buzzing resonance in my head and ears. Excited because I realized that my high notes need no longer sound as airy as before. With enough practice, I can produce them with depth. Excited because today I've been convinced that God has blessed me with more than sufficient breath to sing well when all the time I've been restraining myself because of a false fear that I don't have enough breath. I thank God for this passion that He has blessed me with.

I just found out from my mom that I used to carry with this mic+radio toy boombox around with me and that I sung with it all the time in front of relatives (I bet my grandpa was my loyal fan hahahaha - I can vaguely recall) when I was a kid (gosh. but can imagine. I'm not as shy as I may seem to be.). She also said that she always kept the radio on in the house. Aunty Karen was asking me today if I had any sort of musical influence when I was younger cos no matter how little, it does contribute to an individual's musical talent in the future. I couldn't recall. I thought I only started loving singing during sec sch. Hmm actually no leh. I recall liking the experience of performing for Thanksgiving on stage in sunday school and also singing on Music Day in primary school. oh boy I did! (blogging is good for revisiting important memories!) Hahaha these memories far outweigh the one "traumatic" performance during a history lesson in sec sch.

God really does not put our experiences, passions, desires and talents to waste! He has placed all of these in our lives and in our hearts, for one reason. His glory.

Haha Aunty Karen's becoming a role model I look up to more and more (besides my cg leader). I've been learning more than just vocal techniques from her, but also her life lessons and testimonies as a worship leader and insights that she has accumulated in her walk with God. She has always been patient with me and always encourages me when I feel like I can't make it. Aunty Karen (if you're reading this), thank God for ya!

k-eeeeeeeeeeeeee-ds.

omg omg omg. i cannot stand it. kids can be so awesomely adorable. hahahaha. i'm like super amazed by God's wonderful hands and beautiful heart of gold. was surrounded by a ton of kids today while helping out Sharon and they are SUPER cute! especially janice, amber and clare! janice is so so sweet and imaginative! she made me this super long and stiff necklace out of mobilo ladders. hahaha. plastic toys can also be made into necklaces!

but omg. i found myself wondering this:

would i be a good mom? i think i'm gonna suck big time. i prolly will be so engrossed playing with my own kids that i forget i am their mom. i am really scared that i will not be a good mom. that i'd be the kind of person who's really great at playing and interacting with other people's kids but just not my own. =( but anyways, it's too early to be thinking about this hahaha.

one last word:

Psalm 127:3-4

Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth.

"MYSTERY" - Brooke Fraser

VERSE 1
I wanna get Your words stuck in my head
I wanna touch Your soul with mine
I want to always be, be by Your lead always
I wanna know that You hung the stars in the sky
So on lonely nights I would know Your presence
I wanna feel Your love under my skin, down through my bones

CHORUS
Your love endures forever
Your love changes me
Your love makes me whole, makes me better
Your love endures

VERSE 2
I wanna feel the wind and know that You're near me
And see in the seasons Your mystery
I wanna feel Your love flow through my veins
Pound through my heart

CHORUS
Your love endures forever
Your love changes me
Your love makes me whole, makes me better

BRIDGE
And I want to know how this could be
Yet Your love remains a mystery
That's woven all the way
That's woven all the way
That's woven all the way through me

CHORUS
Your love endures forever
Your love changes me
Your love makes me whole, makes me better
Your love endures
______________________________________________________________

I've yet to learn how to deal with unpredictability regarding things that I used to think are supposed to be within my grasp and within my self-drawn boundaries of predictability. I guess we've all been there long enough to know that unpredictability is part of this wild ride that we all willingly hopped on? But it certainly feels like this unpredictable predicament only seems to affect me the most. I know I'm a high C through and through in this situation.

On a brighter note, I came to a decision about the 3 job offers on Sunday. I think I already knew what I wanted during the last interview that I went to on Friday. But I had to come before God to ask Him what He wanted for me. And He brought me to page 238 of "The Purpose-Driven Life".

God has given each of us a unique emotional "heartbeat" that races when we think about the subjects, activities, or circumstances that interest us. We instinctively care about some things and not about others. These are clues to where you should be serving.

Another word for heart is passion. There are certain subjects you feel passionate about and others you couldn't care less about. Some experiences turn you on and capture your attention while others turn you off or bore you to tears. These reveal the nature of your heart.

When you were growing up, you may have discovered that you were intensely interested in some subjects that no one else in your family cared about. Where did those interests come from? They came from God. God had a purpose in giving you these inborn interests. Your emotional heartbeat tis the second key to understand your shape for service. Don't ignore your interests. Consider how they might be used for God's glory. There is a reason that you love to do these things.

Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
                                                                                                                               - Gil Bailie

Psalm 37:3-6

Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

Delight yourself in the Lord
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:

He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

Before embarking on my job search, I realized I had many fears about this new phase of life. Fear of my own inability and lack of fantastic academic achievements. Fear of having to read rejection letters (so far I've received only 1 and it's not as bad as it seems). Fear of entering the workforce. Fear of becoming just another 9-to-5 office worker who doesn't find purpose in his/her work and doesn't know where he/she is heading toward in this life that he/she has been blessed with. Fear of dreading the coming of every morning and the having to drag your feet to the office in the CBD area (I have never been a fan of conformity nor the typical boring office life even though work clothes can be refreshingly fashionable). Fear of being stuck in a job that I really hate but yet have to stick with for the sake of the meagre income it provides. Fear of not knowing God's purpose for my life and taking up a job without knowing God's will for me through that career.

It's been almost a month since I started looking for a job and God has proven that all these fears are unwarranted. I am starting to see where He wants me to go and what He wants me to do. I am so much more than excited.

I really don't know what I would do if You are not in my life. I cannot imagine living like that. Life would be purposeless and I know it. I know it from the years that I ran away from You. The years in which I realized that You have so much more planned for me than I had wanted at that time and refused to take up because I was wilful and simply did not want to come back to take up what I saw as a burdensome responsibility.

But now I know where He wants me to go. :D

Thanksgiving: God's Promises

Jeremiah 29:11 is a verse that I use often to bless others. You know how it is that God first speaks to you through a verse before He uses it to speak to others through you? That's how it is with me and this verse.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I give thanks to our God who has promised me a bright and exciting future ahead as He prepares me for this new phase of life, especially my career. I thank God for His freakin' amazing-ness (omg omg omg wait for it, wait for it...) in blessing me with not 1, not 2, BUT THREE job offers! 2 of which are waiting for my reply. God is indeed good! He said to be bold and be strong in Joshua to me soooooo many times with regards to facing my own fears (that have to do with finding a job) and was so patient with me for 4 months (ever since my last paper in May). And now here I am, blessed with 3 job offers (okay la technically speaking, 2 only) amidst this economic downturn and only having started looking for a job for about 3 weeks or so.

Hahaha and now I'm spoilt for choice! But it comes down to where my heart truly beats for. God, I know You're testing me! Guide me to the one that You've planned for me!

spiritually excited and tired at the same time

Haha is it possible to be spiritually excited and tired at the same time?

I'm super psyched out to serve in G-Kidz today, even if it was just for a day. It was a good experience haha and I'm so glad that we were able to put across what we needed to teach, and more importantly, to be able to put it across in such a way that the kids understood - Huiting: Babe, if you're reading this - JOB WELL DONE!! Thank God for ya babe! You caught the baton everytime I was lagging haha. Hope that I will get to do again with ya soon! heh brainstorming about a modern version of Luke 12 yesterday and this morning was fun!!

Haha just jumping and singing for God in omega room 1 made me feel like a kid back in sunday school again. God brought back some unhappy memories but it was for a good reason and I'm glad that He did. I remembered how back then in primary 4, back in my family church, COS, I just simply couldn't click with the rest of my friends in the same level and would sometimes just hide in the toilet for 2 hours or wander around in the building, until my mom finished her service, feeling that loneliness, that helplessness, even though I knew that God was right there with me all the time. Through this, I could understand how the kids might be feeling and to take notice especially during the entire process. But just as I was standing there, I felt God's heart for the children, a burden heavier than before, now on my heart.

Jesus loves his little children
All the children of the world
Red and yellow, black and white
All are precious in His sight
Jesus loves His little children of the world

Jesus really loves every single child He brought into this world. He does so much.

Yet at the same time, other issues at hand bog me down. Committed it all to God at the altar and He showed me a super corny scene. But the word that He spoke to me through Jiarong was the best - "Beautiful". Hahaha not about myself la (but of course, I am beautiful =P) but something that God has blessed me with, which is coming to a year in mid-Sept (haha ppl who know what I'm talking about will know what I'm saying). And the anointing from God makes me feel even more burdened now. God, rekindle the fire. Strike the spark once more in us. We wanna make it last. Set our hearts ablaze. And God, guide me to do the right thing at the right time.

Many reflections to be done. Will blog another time soon.

books make me a happy happy girl

How I wish I could just bring home all the books in Tecman and Campus Crusade Mass Media Bookstore (what a mouthful - I shall call it "CCMMB"). Went to the latter to pick up some books today and I wished that I didn't have to leave the place (just like I don't like leaving Tecman - no other Christian bookstores can make me feel this way). I know I'm a freak. And the place is super convenient. Right above Braddell MRT, a 20-minute bus ride away from home.

Ok. I've decided. I must have a huge library in my own home in the future (hohoho).

Haha anyways, I'm on a hunt after books/questionnaires to do with spiritual gifts. Picked up "S.H.A.P.E." by Erik Rees, and now I'm after "Finding Spiritual Gifts" by Peter Wagner - only got the questionnaire. Also picked up "C. S. Lewis: A Complete Guide to His Life & Works" (I know I'm crazy, about C. S. Lewis, that is) and a couple of other books. Haha I've been wanting to find out about spiritual gifts ever since starting on my resume about two months back (and I'm glad to report that I'm finally done with my resume - but am waiting for jo's notes for further refinement and I've yet to do my cover letter - argh). Searching for a job makes you ponder about the abilities/gifts/talents that God has blessed you with. I really need and desire to find a career that God wants me to develop, carve a niche based on the talents He has given me, that I will be used to the fullest by Him. At least after finishing 3/4 of what I'm supposed to do, I now have more than just a rough idea of wanting to work with kids.

And boy, God is perfect with timing. The topic of spiritual gifts was brought up by my cgl last Friday and we're going to discuss about it the next cg.

On the subject of timing, I now see it clearly. At present, we're already well into the last quarter of the year and "INTEGRATION" (the last subtheme of the year) signifies the start of a new phase/season whereby new fruits will be borne forthwith because of the much-ado about "INTIMACY" & "INTERDEPENDENCE" in the last 8 months. God, are You hint-hinting at a new job for me? haha.

This is my country

As I was spending quiet time with God yesterday, I came to a realization: there is no place else that I'd rather call home than Singapore.

It wasn't long ago when I fancied migrating to the States, dying my hair blonde, undergoing drastic plastic surgery to change my Asian looks for a Caucasian face, and wearing blue contacts for the rest of my life. I am serious. I was bent on it. I decided on this in Sec 2. Even if it meant leaving my family behind. Because I was unhappy here. I wanted to live like an American. I wanted to know how it feels like to be white.

But ever since I came back to God in 2006, I have come to find more and more reasons to continue living in Singapore. This is my home. This is where God decided to bring me into this world. This is where He had planned for me to grow up, where He has planned for me to rise up, where He has planned for me to do His work, where He has planned for me to lead my life. This is where I am meant to be. This is where, along with everyone in my generation, we will rise up to lead the Church of Asia (I know I sound like I am crazy and in psy-speak - I seem like I "possess ideas of grandeur" - but those who know the truth know I'm not).

Singapore, as every true Singaporean (aged at least 18 and above) should know, struggled in her beginnings as a small fishing village, no one believed that we could make it. But God made it happen - "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are." (2 Corinthians 1:27-28). It's a miracle that such a small nation has transformed into a metropolitan city. It is by His grace and blessing that we've become who we are.

This is how I know I was chosen by God to be born in this place. To be blessed by Him this way. He wants me to grow to love this country once again, just like I did when I was ignorant as a child, but now with open eyes that can see His wonderful works, the hope that He has given to us, through Christ. He wants me to love this country as much as He does, as much as He loves Ephraim (Hosea 11), so that I will give my all for this country because I love it. And hahahahaha, one more reason why I know God planned for me to be Singaporean - look at my Christian name. Ariel: Lioness of God. Oh boy. Much significance can. The song "We are Singapore" has lyrics that go "We are Singapore, we are Singapore, we will stand together, hear the lion roar". This is how I know can.

I used to question Him so much about why He did not plan for me to be born in the States. Why my eyes aren't blue. Now I know. And what a joke it is that Singapore has become quite Americanized when one looks back on hindsight. But no. Singapore will remain Singapore. Our unique culture will not get lost in this sea of mish-mash. And this is a critical moment for Singaporeans. Will we decide to stay in our country to raise it up or will we flee for our own selfish ways? I know I want to stay. But I dare not boldly say I confirm will. But God, help me to love my country more so that I will stay to fight.

This gift from God

extracted from Girlfriends in God Daily Devotional

Bride in the Box
by Sharon Jaynes

"God richly supplies us with all things to enjoy" (I Timothy 6:17 NIV).

There she lay in her beautiful box ... a two-foot bride doll dressed in a white chiffon, pearl-studded wedding gown with matching veil. Her short-cropped, curly brown hair fell softly around her delicate face; her pink, plump skin felt amazingly soft; and her movable eyelids lined with thick black lashes opened and closed with her changing positions. The bride had perfectly shaped lips and crystal-blue eyes that appeared strangely real. She was truly the most beautiful doll I had ever received in my six-year-old life.

My uncle knew my infatuation with being a bride and had given me this lovely gift. However, there was one problem. My mother wouldn't let me play with her. "You'll have to wait until you are older," she stated. "She was very expensive. We'll just keep her in the box until you're big enough to take care of her."

Therefore, the doll stayed in her box, safely stowed away in a dresser drawer. Occasionally I'd open the drawer to stroke her lovely hair or straighten up her lacy gown, but never did I take her out and actually play with her. Now that I am an adult, I don't even know what became of her.

Thinking back on the lovely gift that was never enjoyed, I'm reminded of the gifts that God has given to each one of us. If we keep those gifts tucked away in a hidden place until we feel like we're old enough to take proper care of them, or mature enough to master them, we'll miss many years of the enjoyment He intended all along. Yes, the gifts may get tattered and torn in the process, but enjoying them will bring the Giver great pleasure. After all, our enjoyment is His great delight. That's what gifts are for.

Is there a gift that you have tucked away for safe keeping? Is God waiting for you to open the gift and begin enjoying His presence?
God, I know now that this is the gift You want me to open and use for Your glory. I will never look back again and neither will I keep in the box anymore. Fill me with the strength and courage to run the good race for You.

Only bad thing is that it doesn't allow for tagboards. hahaha so now that I do have one, people, tag tag tag!!! tags are most welcomed!! :D

haven't been updating much about the ongoings in my life cos been a bit busier than usual. heh. had a 3 hour talk with my cell group leader on sunday that really drilled some stuff into my head. really glad that i got to chat with her. needed her advice on so many things and i got it. haha we talked about so many things yet all I wanna say here is one word - "surrender". God will help me through, by faith, I trust Him for everything in my life and everything that's coming my way.

hahaa last week I officially embarked on my "tuition career". lol. had my first tuition assignment la. it's not at all what i expected it to be. hahaha really glad that God blessed me with this assignment.

hahaha there's so many things I wanna say yet my hands are too lazy to type them all out. so many things happening. haha somehow i just sense that God is gonna lead me into a season of great discovery, of joy and excitement and I am so looking forward to it!!! hahaha!
