I long for camaraderie!

Was mad today. After vox at Aunty Karen's, hopped from Tampines to Marina Square to Suntec to Parkway. Where I got a call from my sis to ask if I wanted to join them at Isetan in PP. Which was funny 'cos I was standing right outside the mall. My mom and sis were there cos they were waiting for my bro, who was at church, rehearsing for the annual Thanksgiving performance (which yours truly faithfully participated every year since kindergarten except for pri 5 & 6 i think).

Haven't been back at my family church for a long time. Was watching the kids rehearse the Garden of Gethsemane scene. Super funny 'cos of some crop-ups. But was also observing how the older ones (around my age) were just enjoying being around each other, just being comfortable in their own skins, being goofy and crapping with one another. Haha I long for that kind of camaraderie in our g12! We ARE close to one another, but it's just that we're all girls, and we can't crap very much. There's a certain extent to our lameness. Oh wells! Gkidz will be another area of service and fellowship! :)

Anyways, this surprise trip back to my old church didn't exactly pull up alot of memories, just some flashbacks of the annual Thanksgiving performance, of receiving prizes for memorizing bible verses, for punctuality, etc. But God knows me the best. I think i've wanted to serve in children's ministry way back when my brother was still a toddler in the mini creche. it's just that i didn't know how to begin especially when my relationship with God back then when i was a kid, wasn't strong at all, and i didn't have that conviction in me. I guess He was reminding me that despite the detours in my life, He has still brought me to where I am supposed to be: To serve Him in the children's ministry, wherever He has placed me.

edit: Xiuting is superbly thrilled that she might really be in for some good bag-a-findin' tmr at Bugis! (after 2 weeks of huntin' all over the island - Tampines Mall, Bugis, Century Square, Parkway Parade, Marina Square, Suntec City, Citylink Mall, Orchard, etc etc, were among the hunted lands.)
