Not-a-wasted-trip with Valerie and Vanessa

Haha after tuition yesterday, I brought Valerie and Vanessa to their auntie's house at Khatib. Was quite worried about them travelling alone for such a long distance. They're only 8 and 9!! and both are so tiny I'm scared that someone might just take them away or they might just get lost. BUT we had a "beeeet" of fun on the train. We talked about famous people like Mozart, Walt Disney, Helen Keller, John Sebastian, etc etc hahaha cos the two girls read about these people from a collection of books they got. Haha they remind me alot of myself when I was in primary school - we share a common love for reading heh. We talked all the way from Kembangan to Khatib, lol. Upon reaching there, the two of them made a call to their auntie who told them that the dinner has been postponed to Sunday. Hahahaha which meant that we made a wasted trip so we took the train from Khatib back to Kembangan again. On the way home, I showed them my "revived" iPod and both were very amused by how I revived it. Hahaha and we listened to "Part of Your World", "Toy Soldier" (80s song!! and they knew!) and other songs. Hahahaha. Really nice to just have extended time with the girls. Heh.

Hahaha "pulling" each other's hair out.

Hahaha. One day we were talking about church cos they saw me putting on these rubber thingies on my spectacles - I started using them cos have to jump for choir duty during svc so that specs will not slip - somehow the topic just went there haha. I was explaining to them that "church" refers to the body of Christ, etc etc. lol.

Haha upon hindsight, I realize that this was not a wasted trip after all. I got to know the two of them more. They are really very sensible kids. Kept asking me not to come out of the station with them at Khatib even when they couldn't get their auntie on the phone at first and kept asking me to go home and not wait for their auntie to reply. Thank God I waited with them or else they would have gone to Clementi and make another wasted trip for nothing. Their auntie was having a party at Pasir Ris la :S:S And they kept asking me not to drop off at Kembangan with them cos they knew I was quite tired from the day already. Super sweet la. :D:D Haha I just love holding their small small hands! (ok i hope i don't sound cheeko)

But Vanessa just reminds me a lot of myself. Her character especially. Sometimes can be super bubbly and super mischievous but at other times she can be very quiet and reflective. Hahaha... Time to ponder about another word game for the two of them. Charades, "Win-Lose-Draw", Hangman, "I-spy-with-my-eye" all played already. Ideas?
