Today again, He spoke to me about His love through Ps. Khong. Christmas is a celebration of His love & His life. Of the proclamation of God's love by sending His son into this world to die for our transgressions. I just cried upon hearing once again of this love that He has given to me. I would never know how much it cost for Him to send His Son to die on the Cross for me. But by this act of love, we now know how much He loves us. The extent of His love for me is bigger than this universe. Man might fail, friends might fail, brothers and sisters might fail, even parents might fail, but God's love never will.
Once you choose to love a person, you are made vulnerable, you may be rejected because the person might not love you back. But God chose to make the first move, the first step, to love us, knowing full well that some of us might not love Him back. Yet He loves us still, yet He loves us unconditionally. This was the part of the sermon message that touched me the most.
So what is the true meaning of Christmas? haha, I don't know if my answer to this question in the next sentence is correct but it's sufficient enough for me. Many people say the true meaning of Christmas is "giving". But what is the true meaning of "giving"? For me, all I need to know is that God GAVE His One and Only Son for this world because He loves us so much.
*ps: I will put up the Christmas tree later even though I don't like doing it 'cos it's a way of showing I love my family. LOL.
edit: There, we did it altogether. The 4 of us. 3 sisters and 1 brother, (our eldest sister missing, though). Hahah, we had a lot of fun, joking around and making fun of one another last night.
One very blue tree.
Digging for the ornaments in the box, like aunties grabbing good bargains at wet market, LOL.
Ok... these two goofballs were dancing to the Christmas tune.
hahah, posing with the tree that she's almost as tall as. (probably cos the tree was "seng-eh" (crooked) already, if you look from the profile, the tree looks like it's pregnant, with the middle part sticking out)
